SUE VANDERWATER is a pioneer in the field of “Women owned IT businesses”.SUE VANDERWATER is a pioneer in the field of “Women owned IT businesses”. She founded MERIDIAN DATA SYSTEMS in 1983 along with her husband, Kurt Vanderwater installing large scale Networks and developing database technologies for companies. She currently serves as the CEO for MERIDIAN and its subsidiary companies, THE WORX COMPANY and HOSTS OF AMERICA. She also owns Branson Online, a web based company created by The Worx Company, that has revolutionized the way tickets are sold in Branson, MO. Sue has served on the Advisory Board for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and currently is on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce. She has acted as President of the Executive Networking Group in Oklahoma City and is a two-time nominee for Woman of the Year by the Journal Record. In her “other life”, Sue is a singer and songwriter who has done recording in Nashville and has both toured with professional music groups and performed as a solo artist. In 1996, she founded the choirs in Oklahoma City for Homeschooled students and directed them for 13 years. She and Kurt have one son, a “daughter-in-love”, and two beautiful grandbabies.
