I chose to specialize in neurosurgery because the brain has always fascinated me. I'm passionate about treating brain tumors and other disorders to preserve a patient's speech, motor function and memory. When I meet a person, it's often the worst time in their life, but when I can help restore their brain function so they can enjoy life with the people they love, it's truly rewarding.
