At 17, I joined a nursing assistant program in high school out of curiosity for healthcare careers. Growing up, I always enjoyed science and helping others, making healthcare a natural fit. Shadowing physician assistants (PAs) during the program clarified my path in medicine. I want patients to feel supported and encouraged to ask questions. I prioritize thorough explanations, ensuring patients feel empowered in their treatment decisions. During PA school, I developed a passion for women's health, from educating on breast self-exams to recognizing symptoms. Witnessing plastic and reconstructive surgery patients heal and regain their normal lives is the most fulfilling aspect of my job. Helping patients feel like themselves again is incredibly rewarding to me.
