  Dr. Alemu received his medical degree from Addis Ababa University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and his fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Mississippi in Jackson, MS in 2012. Dr. Alemu joined Midwest Nephrology Group in 2012. His areas of interest include caring for and treating patients with various types of chronic kidney disease and dialysis.   Dr. Ambaw received his medical degree from Jimma University School of Medicine, Jimma, Ethiopia. He completed his residency training at Mercer University of Medicine in Macon, GA and his fellowship in Nephrology at University of Texas Health Center at San Antonio, TX in 2012. Dr. Ambaw joined Midwest Nephrology Group in 2012. He serves as the Medical Director for the on site laboratory at our Midwest City office and the Davita Dialysis Center in Yukon. He has served on the Medical Executive Committee at Midwest Alliance Health and as past Chairman of the Department of Medicine for over four years. Dr. Zewdie has conducted several research studies in the area of chronic kidney disease as a principal investigator.   Kandy M. Brown, APRN, NP-C

  Family Nurse Practitioner

  Kandy Brown, APRN, NP-C graduated from Oklahoma City Community College in 2009 with an associates degree in nursing. She worked as an oncology RN with her chemotherapy and biotherapy certification. Her experience in nursing includes oncology, woundcare, case management, med-surg, and psychiatric nursing. Kandy then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK and a Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. She graduated in 2016 from their Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Kandy joined Midwest Nephrology Group as a Nurse Practitioner in 2017.
